It’s easy to describe Taqueria del Sol chef Eddie Hernandez in anecdotes. There are dozens of them, many repeated by Eddie himself. Actually capturing the whole, complicated man is difficult, but Wendell David Brock has managed to do exactly that in this excellent profile in Garden & Gun magazine. The occasion is the publication of the book “Turnip Greens and Tortillas,” which Eddie and the talented Susan Puckett co-wrote. The profile has plenty of jokes and cussing and a little philosophy of life thrown in for good measure. It’s a lot like talking with Eddie! Bravo, Wendell.
