Seven years and hundreds of fish tacos ago, #chefeddiehernandez and I had our first conversation at Taqueria del Sol about the possibility of writing a cookbook together. Three years and many proposal revisions passed before book editor extraordinaire Rux Martin of @hmhcooks offered us a deal.
Then we spent 3 1/2 more years writing and revising, then waiting for what has seemed like forever to get our hands on our first copies. Finally they arrived, and here it is! Best Valentine’s Day present ever! It is more beautiful than I could have imagined. So grateful to all who helped us make this dream come true and worth the long long journey.
